Yesterday…

Found us just across the border in SC, working on K4ATX’s US Tower crank up.

Got the chrome-moly mast installed, along with the new Orion 2800 rotator. Then attached the 2m & 432
Yagis on mast, secured the coax cables, cranked the tower vertical, & set about the somewhat tedious task of re-plumbing the thing–this time using the LONG level. (Originally, I’d done that with my Hanson aircraft-style level, which is only 2-ft long, & it turned out to be off plumb, ever so slightly.)

Next trip, Kim should have the SteppIR finished, & we can complete his installation.
