Old pal Tom Warren, K3TW, came up with this idea. And the first contribution. So, if you’d like to help me get my little tower/antenna business back on something like an even footing, you can send your contribution to my Callbook or QRZ address: Don Daso, 515 Withershinn Drive, Charlotte NC 28262.
I’ll duly thank and post the donors on this page.
I’ve gotten several comments pointing out the error in not having insurance. Trust me, if I could get insurance, I’d have it! My policy was cancelled after robbery #3…
So far, the losses (tower sections, aluminum tubing, complete antennas, Heliax, wire and cable, new lawn tractor, assorted tools, etc.) exceed $14,000. Thanks in advance, & a very 73… Don K4ZA
Where would one send a donation?

Don,
You are a national asset to the ham radio community and a personal friend of mine for over 25 years. Please watch your mailbox for my $100 donation to The K4ZA Recovery Fund. Unfortunately, I won’t be attending the Dayton Hamvention this year, but I hope those who attend and others who read this blog will also contribute to help get your feet back on the ground. Keep your spirits high and keep doing what you love to do: Building and installing tall towers and large antenna arrays.

Is PayPal an option? I don’t even have a check book any more.

& should be good to go.
Thefts have slowed way down, although some small hand-carry type things keep getting stolen
from some apparent pals of the two guys now in prison….turnbuckles, EQ plates, big bolts, etc.
stolen while I was working out in IL/IN, for instance.
Congrats on getting licensed! It’s a swell hobby, even after 50 years…~! 73 Don K4ZA
