After some delays due to travel, & John’s not being available, et cetera, I was finally able to get to W7WZ’s place today, & we were able to get his Force 12 2L 40M Yagi up in the air.
He & his son had tried corkscrewing it on & up the tower, but had been unsuccessful. Well, ole Sparky managed to do just that….
All very good news: SWR 2:1 points are 230 kc apart, nice dip at the CW end of the band, etc. Worked IK6CZQ quickly, got 5/9 plus 5 with the Orion barefoot. I think it’s working.
Tomorrow’s work at K4BVQ moved to mid-March, so will be finally over to KF4TP’s, where we hopefully can strip the tower prior to installing his new 3L SteppIR.
