K3TW’s idea (and generous offer) has born a bit of fruit. I remain surprised and moved by the willingness of others to help, et cetera.
I dropped the big trailer off at the storage site today just after lunchtime, and once again foiled the robbers! I should have fired a shot over their heads. But several folks have asked what the local police are doing or have done, and so forth. In truth, other than sending out a press release to all the local scrapyards, and a couple drive-bys, not too much. The unsolved robberies do have their attention, as I apparently am screwing up their statistical data, big time! It’s probably simply a matter of time before one of the group is caught, which might lead to the rest, and so forth.
